This year, we’re continuing to listen to our members’ requests for topics that speak directly to issues we face on our jobs every day.
Additionally, we’re tailoring this conference to appeal to both the executive level healthcare communicator/marketer, as well as to tactical and general communications staff specialists.
We’ll have two sessions with Rhoda Weiss, APR. She’s promising 100 hot ideas that you won’t want to miss! She is an outstanding speaker, author of more than 300 articles and books, and leads a consulting firm that specializes in public relations, strategy, business development, marketing, customer service and research. Rhoda has taught public relations, marketing and fund raising at UCLA for two decades. If you have ever heard her speak you know you better have a sharp pencil at the ready because this woman delivers idea after idea as fast as you can take notes.
Also on the agenda:
• Legacy Health System’s HIPAA expert April Barnard, who will answer the common questions we all have about the HIPAA regulations, and her belief that we’re being too hard on ourselves when enforcing this mandate.
• Kent Lewis of Email ROI, who will talk about the power of email as a marketing tool, how to target email campaigns and track results.
• An executive track featuring Sonja Steves, Legacy Health System Vice President, and Julie Manning, Samaritan Health Services Vice President, who will address developing core competencies for your public relations and marketing efforts. This management-level conversation will look at the strategic thinking behind what mechanisms you put in place in your facility.
• A session with writer and speaker Janna Mock Lopez of Media Write on creating targeted, clear messages in your writing. She’ll focus on how to capitalize on your precious time to get the most in return for your writing efforts. She understands that you wear many hats and you need to spend your time wisely to generate the results you want.
• A lively idea exchange involving everyone – this year with a twist!
